So far, both Victoria and Saanich have adopted a ban and we are hoping to follow suit.  If you are interested in this topic and would like to get involved, please contact Bonny at bteichrieb@gmail.com

2019 Budget Priorities – Voice your Concerns

The Municipality is currently reviewing their 2019 draft financial plan with opportunities for engagement. They have a 2019 Balance the Budget Challengewhere you can learn where your tax dollars go and tell them about your priorities so we strongly encourage you to go to this site and share your views. Anything from improvements to transit services and facilities, active transportation initiatives, public safety, road safety, garbage collection, or whatever it may be. Let’s flood this platform with our opinions and get our input heard so they know and understand what priorities are important to us!!! The deadline to include your feedback is Feb 15th so please be sure to visit the site and share your opinion on the financial priorities for 2019!

You can also join them at Spelt’s Coffee Shop in Saanichton for a casual conversation and a chance to learn about the budget. This event will be taking place on January 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Members of the public are welcome to come by at any time.
