AGENDA

CALL TO ORDER & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORIALITY

We would like to acknowledge the First Nations Traditional Territory on which we live and work. The cultural heritage of this beautiful land on the Peninsula is of the Coast Salish, Tsawout, and Tsartlip First Nations. I am thankful to be allowed the privilege of being here recognizing the inequities between indigenous and settler peoples and acknowledge all that has been given up in order for us to conduct our work here today.

Clean BC – Active Transportation

The Province of BC is developing an active transportation framework and is looking to engage with stakeholders and individuals between March 1st and April 15th. All feedback received will result in a provincial approach with measures to support new infrastructure, education and incentive programs, and safety improvements for people using active transportation. You are invited to join in the conversation and can do so by participating in the online discussion forum about active transportation, or by submitting your comments by email to activetransportation@gov.bc.ca

Last Month’s AGM

We hosted our 2nd annual AGM in February and are excited to have new board members joining us for 2019. I would like to thank our current board for all the wonderful work they have done getting us thus far, as well as introduce our newest members, Jeri Covay and Gerry Delval, for stepping into their new roles as Members at Large for CSCA. To learn more about our Board of Directors, visit our About US BoD page, here. And another big thanks to our MLA Adam Olsen for joining us at our AGM and sharing his perspectives on how we can grow and support one another more collaboratively in the coming year.

That’s all for now. We hope you’ve been staying warm and are enjoying the sunshine. Hope to see you soon.
